Well i forgot some stuff about harry potter that i wanted to talk about.
The first bit was the Radio i thought that was a great device in the book for reminding us that there was a world outside the world of Harry, Ron and Hermione and tent and how they managed to work it into the film and use it for the same effect was excellent.
The second thing was the animation of the story of the three brothers it was so un expected as there’s nothing like it in any of the other films but i thought it was so well done reminiscent of watchmen or sun city and it really showed the darkness of this in my opinion quite scary children’s story.
On a completely unrelated note iv recently started watching misfits and I have nearly finished watching the first series. I always seem to come late to these things but i really like it. it’s like a cross between heroes without the American melodrama with skins with a dark twist. The characters are all really good and I can’t wait to see the rest of the series and series 2 however a part of me now thinks I watch far too many things already and really need to do some work.

Me thoughts on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
First of all I know it’s been ages since i have posted anything but let’s be honest no one reads this anyway so who cares.
I really liked this film I mean it was my favourite of all the films so far probably because it was fairly faithful to the books and I think the producers definitely made the right decision to split the film into too and where they put the spilt was excellent as well. Also on a shallower note Emma Watson just WOW I mean she looks spectacular in every scene.
My usual problem with the films is that when I read the books I spent so long making this world real in my head and when it doesn’t look like that on the screen it’s just not the same and this is true about this film as well (apart from the scene with the tent next to the lake that was exactly the same as I had imagined it when I read the books and that made me so happy), but I just didn't care as much, probably because threes not a single scene in Hogwarts so we are placed in the unfamiliar surroundings to begin with also its fairly hard for two people to imagine a wood or a hill side differently.
I felt the sheer desperation and tiredness and general emotion of the book was really brought well in this film one of the first scenes where Hermione wipes all memory of herself from her parents memories was really sad and the scene in Malfoy manor where Hermione is being tortured is actually horrible and when dobby dies was the saddest part of the film and an excellent part for it to end.
People normally complain about the acting of the three main actors iv never found this to bad but they defiantly brought it up a notch for this film they all seem to have grown as actors and really identified this the characters. The scenes between Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe where really well acted and the scene where they danced and there problems where gone for a few moments and then straight after it was back to real life was superbly acted in my opinion. And as i mention before Emma Watson just WOW!!!
Ok now for what i didn’t like about the film as with all the films the scenes with harry and ginney are just so awkward its unreal i don’t know why but they just are. Also i think they down played how much harry felt abandoned by Dumbledore and how much harry feels like he really didn’t know him. And really these are the only things i can think of that i didn’t like in the film.
Over all the film was great and this is coming from a person who really doesn’t like most of the other films i can’t wait to see the next one but i think it will be emotional because it will essentially be the end of a era and really my childhood as when the next film comes out ill have finished uni and have to be a proper person scary thoughts.

My mussings on the Ipad
So everyone seems to have an opinion on apples big new thing the Ipad so i thought why not do a little blog post about it.
first of all lets get past it ohh my good its beautiful. it s a stunning bit of kit thin realtivly light and like allmost every bit of apple hardware really nice and shinny and lets be honest at the minute anything made by apple is the hight of coolness. and that is why alot of people will buy this becuae its shinney and it has an apple logo and to be honest i can't blame them.
Right on to the fetures of the thing basicly its a big ipod touch with a book shop and 3G but im a bit disapointed in that i was hoping it would have a OS similar to OSX rather than the i-phone. and my favorite feature is a compass i mean really who is going to use that really. The browser seems like it will be good full size webpages on what is essentially a really thin book will be awesome but the lack of flash support is a let down and personally d much rather surf the web the way god intended on a laptop or desktop i have a G1 and get pretty good 3g reception but its still just not the same.
The price seems very reasonable as well id heard rumours that it would be around £1200 for the thing but $499 seems resonable obvisouly the UK price will be diffrent but it seeems reasonable. i think its a real competer for kindle and other e-readers even though its more expensive it does have more fretures and it has that apple exclusivity factor.
As for apple trying to make a whole new type of products im not sure if they have done that but they have definitely made a massive amount of publicity for this thing we will see if its the revolution in computing and the internet apple are claiming it will be. personally i think alot of people will get them but it won't be the revolution like the i-pod was.
basically my opinion on the it is that i personally would have no use for one but i still want one and i think would use it.

Back in Pompey
So i have been back in portsmouth and my awesome new house now for week now and thought id inform all of you non exsistent readers of my blog of that fact.
So i got here a week ago so i could attened the comuity training day thing from the AU which was ridiculously boring but slightly informative and so i could work teaching some windsurfing at the outdoor center which was pretty good fun apart from the compete lack of wind but at least it was sunny.
After that fun at the weekend i started freshers week on sunday night by getting very drunk on cheap cider at a huse party where and extremley drunk girl kept coming on to me and then walking away only to forget what she had just done and reapt it but still i had a pretty gd night. then the rest of the week went pretty much how you expect freshers weeks to go get drunk at night and sleep it off in the day Wednesday and Thursday however where diffrent.
Wensday we had a re introduction which i thought would be pretty laid back so when i rolled up still pretty drunk from the night before at 9 i was in for a massive shock when we went straiight into proper lectures on staphylococci and the clinical implications of it this did not go down well with a very hungover dave but i struggled through even taking some notes and learning some stuff then followed more lectures on human

The New Doctor
I know this is really late but its been on my tumblr for ages and i forgot about this
Looks excellent and I’m glad Russell T Davis is no longer the principle writer as his episodes were not as good as Steven moffat who wrote my favourite episodes “blink” ,”The Girl in the Fireplace” and ”The Empty Child” / “The Doctor Dances”. Blink is an actually scary episode as well it scared me god knows what it did to children that watched it. I also think I might be the only person who thinks Matt Smith will be good I think he will struggle to be better than David Tenant. The key thing I think is that he needs to try really different from David Tennant I think a different production team will really help this. But from what I have seen he has both succeeded and failed. His clothes are different but not radically different like the change between Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. From what I have seen his personality does look different but I will have to wait for the new series to start to make a judgement. But I think he will be great and I think I will like the new series as much as liked the others.

National Windsurfing Festival
The reason I haven't blogged in a while is that basically iv done very little that’s very interesting so you none existent people that read my blog would be as bored reading about me doing nothing as I was living it. However in the past few days I have actually done some stuff that was interesting to me so I’m going to blog about it.
So Friday morning I load up the car full of windsurfing kit and stuff I wanted to take to uni and drive for 5 hours to good old pompey which while a completely uneventful drive it was pretty fun. so I turn up at my house in Portsmouth not remembering at all what it looks like as its been months since I looked around it and when I did it was only for 15mins none of my house mates where about so I un packed my stuff chilled for a bit then went for a run. Then the guys who were coming down with me for the national windsurfing festival then rang me to say they were late leaving and would be another 4 or 5 hours so I sat down to watching some enterprise and blade runner till they got there.
Saturday morning I got up relatively early packed up some windsurfing gear and said good bye to my house for a few weeks and headed down to Hayling Island for some windsurfing action. When I got there though there wasn't much wind but I rigged my gear and went out for a quick blast to check my gear and get to the starting beach. but I missed the race briefing but I asked some guy who went and started my first race of the day which was my most successful of the day as I finished and was not the last back to the beach while being disappointed as I was suffering from there being too much of me not enough board and not enough sail so I actually sailed for around 2 miles or so submerged but I enjoyed myself and didn’t break anything. Unfortunately I can’t say that about the rest of the day I enjoyed myself but in the second race I got run over by a 20 foot long boat of irony.
During the second race the wind shifted this forced almost the entire fleet to over shoot the mark by a mile or so and as I was at the back of this fleet it was more of an issue for me so the safety boat came up to me asked if I needed a ride back as I was submerged up to my ankles not moving very fast because the wind dropped. But unfortunately while asking me this they ran over my windsurfing kit and when I propeller hits windsurfing kit it doesn’t do it any good so I then needed a lift back and was out of the races for the rest of the day.
So after I derigged my broken gear and got changed I went and met some of my uni friends who were already drinking I might add and we had some food and a cheeky rather expensive pint and chilled until the night windsurfing and the party started. The night windsurfing was pretty awesome I wish I was gd enough to qualify but I’m so far of being that gd, but my friend Adam came 5th in the pro fleet which was awesome. Then the party started and it was pretty epic saw a mate iv not seen in ages and had a bit of dance mosh and generally a gd time.
The next morning I woke up in my car pretty hungover at 7ish in the morning got myself a cup of coffee a bottle of water and a bacon bun and all was better with the world. I then mooched around the stalls trying o blag some free stuff and got an awesome calendar then settled in to a big drive home. All in all it was a pretty awesome weekend and I had a great time and it’s great to see 300+ windsurfers all trying to start of the same beach its sketchy to say the least. Any ways I’m going to try and update this a bit more not that anyone reads this anyway but I like doing it.

long time no blog
i just looked through my blog posts today and realised that i had written 2 blog posts but just not posted them so i might just post them anyways so the next 2 posts happened a few Weeks back but i spent time writing them so might as well post them.
anyway on to recent events in the day/few/days/weeks of dave. well i will soon be spending my days grading potato's in the fields of louth and the woodhall spa area which I'm guessing will be tedious and extremely dull but i will be paid for it so all is gd. and the past few windsurfs i had where pretty gd me making most of my gybes but i did temporally have to drain my board but i fixed it and all is well.
and i will soon be heading to portsmouth to check out my new digs and compete in the national windsurfing festival master blaster im hopeinng that it will go better than last year where i snapped a mast bent a boom and ripped a sail all of which was not mine.
anyways enjoy my past posts which will be coming to the future soon.
